CHESS communication preferences determine how CHESS holding statements and notifications are delivered to investors. Clients can choose to receive these communications electronically through the ASX CHESS Statements Portal instead of receiving paper statements by mail.
Updating CHESS Communication Preference as client
To enable electronic delivery of CHESS holding statements and notifications, you will need to submit a signed request. Please download the Change of Contact Details form online or contact our Customer Support team via Online Chat, email, or telephone to obtain the form.

To enable electronic delivery of CHESS holding statements and notifications, you will need to submit a signed request. Please download the Change of Contact Details form online or contact our Customer Support team via Online Chat, email, or telephone to obtain the form.
You will need to print, complete, and sign the form using a wet-ink signature that matches the signature on the most recent identification documents held on file. Once completed, return a scanned copy or a clear photograph of the signed form via email.
Upon successful processing of your request, CHESS holding statements and notifications will be delivered electronically via the ASX CHESS Statements Portal, and paper statements will no longer be issued.
Updating CHESS Communication Preference as Advisor
Advisors can request to receive client's CHESS holding statements and notifications electronically instead of by post.
To update client's CHESS communication preference to email, please:
- Please contact our support team to obtain the Change of Client Details form via live chat or email.
- Print and complete all required details, including client's account information and preferred email address, tick to enable CHESS communication preference via email on Change of Email Address subsection.
- Clients have to sign the form using a physical (wet‑ink) signature that matches their identification records
- Submit the completed form to us via email (scanned copy or clear photo) or post/Fax (as per the form instructions).
The form must be printed and signed by hand (digital signatures are not accepted) All account holders (if applicable) must sign the form. Ensure the email address provided is accurate and active.
Once your request has been processed, clients CHESS holding statements and notifications will be delivered electronically via the ASX CHESS statements portal and paper statements will no longer be issued.

Additional Requirements for Power of Attorney (POA) Accounts
If the client has appointed a Power of Attorney, the following must be provided by post:
- An original certified copy of the Power of Attorney document; and
- A certified copy of the attorney's identification document.
